Following is a list of typical manpower CPR s.a. can provide along with our perspectives: Managers
These people are the linchpins of your very operation. Without good managers, you will fail. Managers must be first and foremost leaders. They must have impeccable character and be good communicators. In the oil, gas and mining industries, they must also have adequate technical know-how, especially for major projects. They must be able to maintain or increase safety. CPR s.a. will not provide a manager to a client if we have any doubts about any of the above.
Superintendents
Many locations have a non-management position that supervises a group of supervisors. Typically this position will be in operations or maintenance. If the manager is the linchpin, the superintendent is the grease that keeps the machine going. They are the link between the field and the office in larger organizations. They must have all the skills of a manager, but on a smaller scale.
Supervisors
Supervisors must speak the local language. They must be experts at the job which they are supervising, but realize that they must not do the job themselves or micro-manage. They are usually shift-workers. The supervisor can not be averse to spending many hours in the field. A supervisor sitting in an office all day is no supervisor at all. A supervisor must give orders, not suggestions. Things happen way too fast and are potentially way too serious in our industries for doubt or hesitation. A good supervisor is a respected supervisor.
